With less than a metre of contrast green remaining, I breathed a big sigh of relief as I finished my Selbu mittens this week …
A good soak softened the cream Masham wool, which bloomed nicely and evened out the stranded knitting.
I didn’t manage to get the inner part of the thumb pattern to line up exactly, but hey, I won’t tell if you don’t!
I enjoyed making these very much and predict that there will be more on my needles in the future …
Have you finished any projects this week? I’d love to hear about them!
😀
Oh brilliant!! So glad it was worth hanging on, exactly like hat, I also had 1m left…!!
Trying to finish my Treehouse mittens, hopefully today… yummy Blacker Brushwork yarn 🙂

So glad – there’s nothing worse than being a metre short at the end of a project! Those are gorgeous, look good enough to eat. Btw: My admiration for Avi has grown – I just checked out the mittens she made for me like these, and she did manage to line up the inner thumb pattern. I wear them with awe.

Avi has an incredible eye for detail and her knitting is fabulous – I reckon she will be publishing her own designs before too long! 😀
