When you’re feeling a bit jaded, a day out with friends can lift your spirits and rekindle your creative inspiration!
Here are some of the things that made me think of knitting and got those creative juices flowing again …

Hand carved scroll decoration

Hand carved bench

Book accompanying the William de Morgan exhibition

Original fireplace tiles, such depth of colour

Structural shapes and stunning autumn colour

Tiger stripes! Marmalade the Cutest Cat

Gorgeous hand-knitted sweater, echoing the cable plait
A lovely day out!
Where have you been this week that has inspired you? I’d love to hear about it!

Yes to all this!! 🙂
And last weekend in Portugal, the many many tiles in the Royal Palace at Sintra, the complete lack of Celtic influence and yet some very twisty carved detail on doorways, Moorish ceilings, painted ceilings, ancient spinning whorl artefacts, the way the walls were built (a different geometry to that which we are accustomed!), marble and clay floor tiles, roof friezes/edgings, barleytwist banisters but also the colours and sounds of the crashing Atlantic…. I can see I need to do a whole post on this!!
Specifically for you, though, a daisy wall! Will send asap! 😉 xx
