Finally finished and ready to wear

In 2015 I enjoyed a lovely visit to the Whistlebare Farm studio near Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland, where I fell in love with all the beautiful yarns and stunning colours.

Somewhat overwhelmed by the choice, and knowing it would take me a while to knit, I played safe and opted for a classic pewter grey called ‘Minnow’, in the Yeavering Bell DK weight.

Fast forward 12 months and a couple of false starts, and I have a Finished Object to show you!

This is an adaptation of a free Drops pattern called Avery, and I have listed my modifications on my Ravelry page, for future reference.

The most notable change is the long sleeves …

The buttons are a temporary measure as I’m hoping to find replacements at Wonderwool Wales later this month and didn’t want to wait until then to wear my new cardigan!

Have you finished a project this week? Or found the perfect buttons that you’ve been hunting for?  I’d love to hear about it!

Happy knitting 🙂
