My reward for tidying my shed?

Yarn, of course!

Although sad to part with this dog guard, due to the memories it held, I recognised that it was unlikely to be used again now that I have a smaller car.

As it was in excellent condition, with potential for many more canine adventures, I decided to list it on a second-hand marketplace site.

One week later, I was happily spending the proceeds atย Juliet Brown’s shop at the Fold in Bransford. After much oohing and aahing, I opted for this beautiful hand-painted merino/nylon Smoothie Sock Yarn, in Natural and Rock Lobster, 425m per 100g.

I plan to make a shawl that shows off the colours to good effect … I will keep you posted!

Have you converted unwanted items into treasure? I’d love to hear all about it!

Beautiful colours! I sold some unwanted bits on eBay but have yet to spend the proceeds. I have seen a rather lovely braided roving that I’d tempting me a lot though!
