Knit Knot

My unexpected knitting thought of the day occurred when I was putting on my necklace …

Although not quite technically accurate, the design always reminds me of a knitted stitch!

The pendant unit is 4 cm deep and 1 cm wide, with the ‘tails’ reaching 1.5 cm. The necklace is handcrafted in silver and is one of my favourite pieces. I love it!

It was bought a few years ago in Dale, a small village on the Pembrokeshire coast, south-west Wales, from artisans Phillip and Helen of Be-Gemmed, who also exhibit as part of the Pembrokeshire Craft Makers calendar of events around the county. Can’t get to Pembrokeshire? Don’t worry – they also have an on-line shop 😉

Do you have any pieces of jewellery that remind you of knitting? I’d love to hear about them!

🙂

That is very cool! I don’t have any knitting jewelry. I will have to get something.

It’s a beautiful piece and I can see why it reminds you of knitting. I’ll have to dig around to see if I have any jewelry that reminds me of knitting!
