The middle of the ball erupted, leaving a tangled mess.
It all seems impossible to sort out. No logic, no reason. It wasn’t meant to be like this. Conflicting complexities, different knots – which to tackle first?
Tired, it is tempting to walk away, to try to forget it ever happened.
Then I realise that the exploded ball of yarn is a metaphor.
It may look chaotic.
There’s no quick fix.
It’s not ideal.
There are lots of unwanted twists and turns.
There may be more to come.
But if I’m patient, and methodical, and take some time out to be quiet, to sit and think, and work things through, the chances are it’ll be okay in the end.
This is just one of those things that sometimes happens in the middle of yarn, in the middle of life.
Yes, there’s a lot going on at the moment.
Right, I’m off to tackle some of the tangles!
How has knitting helped you this week? I’d love to hear all about it!
