There’s a nip in the air, accompanied by some early morning mists and mellow fruitfulness. Autumn is here … and I’ve finished my cabled cardigan to add some warmth!

This photo is the best colour match …
This photo shows the Dorset-style buttons I made, inspired by the workshop I attended at Wonderwool Wales in April, led by Jen of Beaker Button based in Hampshire …
This is the complete cardigan …
Washed and ready to wear! 🙂
Have you finished a project this week? I’d love to hear all about it!
Beautiful! I love cables and those buttons are just perfect 🙂

Thank you Laura! I haven’t made buttons for a garment before – at least I know they match 🙂

It was Swissrose who introduced me to this cardigan pattern 🙂 The buttons were borne of necessity when I couldn’t find any that I liked, so I’m glad they worked out well! Thank you for your kind words 🙂

What perfect buttons for such a gorgeous cardigan – I liked the first one a lot but have to say, this is totally “made” by the buttons!!
I hope it’s a good fit – I’m nearing the end of the cabled aran jumper and crossing fingers like mad that it will fit and not bag 😮

Thanks 🙂 The buttons were a last-minute fix when I couldn’t find any I liked! Meant to be? It’s a snug fit, so I’ll need to be careful with washing … I hope your aran jumper turns out well – keep me posted! 🙂
